The benefits of citrus fruits
Orange, lemon, grapefruit, mandarin... citrus fruits owe their reputation above all to their vitamin C content, which is valuable for supporting immune defences. They also contain antioxidants, fibre and various minerals, which help protect cells from oxidative stress and aid digestion. Regularly included in a balanced diet, they contribute to overall wellbeing and provide an everyday boost.
Their fresh, tangy flavour has another advantage: it makes you want to drink, helping you stay hydrated without turning to sugary drinks. Eaten whole, citrus fruits also provide all their fibre, which is useful for satiety and digestive comfort. And because they lend themselves to countless uses—juices, salads, infusions and light desserts—they are easy to include in your diet, whatever the occasion.
When is the best time for citrus tea?
It all depends on what you are looking for. In the morning, citrus tea gently awakens the senses: its fruity, invigorating notes pair well with breakfast. After lunch, it is appreciated for its lightness, with a freshness that pleasantly extends the meal.
At the end of the afternoon, it is the ideal break to regain some energy without giving in to overly sugary drinks. However, if your tea contains caffeine, it is best to avoid drinking it too late so as not to disturb sleep. In the evening, choose a citrus version without tea instead to unwind.
